History

Central European Data Agency, inc. (CEDA) was established in 2000 by the companies P.R. art, s.r.o. and Kartografie Praha, a.s. in order to cover business activities of founding companies in digital map and spatial database market.

From the beginning the company has been supported by its employees´ long-term experience in the area of generating digital data for geographic information systems (GIS) as well as for cartographic output.

In June 2001 CEDA and the Belgian company Tele Atlas - Tom Tom (world leader in the area of digital mapping) signed a partnership contract concerning the project of creating an exact road navigation database of the Czech Republic. This contract was a part of consignment realized for Skoda Auto Mladá Boleslav and in 2004 it was extended to the area of Slovak Republic.

Since the beginning of 2006 CEDA has owned a subsidiary company in Slovakia.

At present CEDA cooperates with more than twenty dealer companies.
