Extension of StreetNetCZE data set with information allowing real network movement simulation. That is especially traffic restrictions (driving bans, turns, speed limits) and supplement information for orientation (traffic lane sorting, directional signs). The NAV upgrade escalates StreetNet CZE to the category of full-featured navigation databases for „turn by turn“ navigation (from one address to another).

Upgrade information is either in the form of complementary attributes or in form of relations. These are tables (in the DBF data format) which are interconnected with the basic layer on the grounds of key road id.

Manoeuvres
They contain information on turn (u-turn) bans at crossroads based on road signalling. Due to this information the road network navigation works according to real restrictions and provides the user with exact orders and route selection.

Vehicle Restriction
Eliminates entrance/transit of various types of motor vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians either in one or both directions.
Restriction categories for:

  • Passenger cars
  • Motorcycles
  • Loader transporters
  • Public transport busses
  • Other busses
  • Resident traffic
  • Taxis, pedestrians, cyclists

Maximum Dimensions
Eliminates entrance based on proportions and weight of the vehicle (tunnel, bridge, etc.). The options of correct navigation are thus available for loader transporters (even of non-standard proportions) which have been hitherto marginalized. This part of the upgrade is very useful e.g. for transport companies.
Restriction parameters are set upon the highest permitted:

  • Height of the vehicle
  • Width of the vehicle
  • Length of the vehicle or a vehicle assembly
  • Momentary weight of the vehicle
  • Momentary axle weight

Speed Restrictions
These data show the maximum permitted speed at the given road section for basic types of vehicles. The application can thus inform about the actual speed limit. At the same time, the fastest route calculation is specified. Speed restrictions follow relevant traffic signs including the beginning and the end of a municipality. Outside covered areas basic speed restrictions (municipalities/out of municipalities) are set much on the base of the overlap of road lines and urban areas.

Lane Information
Information on traffic lane sorting before crossroads or highway exits which make it easier for the user to transfer through complicated or multi-lane roads.
6.jpg
Sign Post Information
Transfer information from directional signs in relevance to propriate road lines. Based on them it is then possible to interpret the image of a directional sign and relevant destinations to which navigation is conducted.
7.jpg
House Number Ranges
It is a representation of a regular address system in linear network. Each street section is assigned an initial and final orientation number on the right and left and number structure (even, odd, mixed, irregular). The designated address is then interpoled into this range.

Navigation layer already a StreetNet component:
  • Toll

Paid road sections either in the form of a highway coupon (for vehicles up to 12 tons) or toll (for vehicles over 12 tons).
