Transport information centres and their projects distribute information to public via websites, mobile phones or in form of dynamic navigation on RDS-TMC basis. These centres gather information on transport – relevant events such as traffic restrictions, information on traffic load, road work, available parking spaces or images provided by camera systems. DIC Prague has been in service since the beginning of 2006, DIC Brno came into trial service in the second quarter of 2007. Our company coordinated preparations and realization of the project. The competences of project department involved not only consultations and management, but also extensive tests on functionality of the system.

Pilot testing of the Cellular floating vehicle data (CFVD) technology in Prague

CFVD stems from practical experience with generating transport information from anonymous information about movement of mobile phones among particular transmitters of mobile operators. This technology allows real–time generation of an authentic, spatially interconnected and at the same time very detailed model of traffic fluency for whole regions or states at relatively low investment and operating costs. At present our company tests implementing this system in the area of Prague. The project is realized in cooperation with the Capital City of Prague, T-Mobile and ITIS Holdings.

System RDS-TMC testing

The aim of the RDS-TMC system is distribution of traffic information in terms of radio broadcast in FM zone using RDS technology. Information is coded according to a special language independent protocol ALERT-C and forwarded to the user as a silent component of FM broadcast. The objective of 2003 testing was to verify the possibility of implementing the system in conditions of the Czech Republic. This project was followed by further tests which led to realization of DIC Prague. Our company coordinated and to a large extend realized the tests. Creation of localization tables

Localization tables are an element necessary for correct functioning of the RDS-TMC transport information system. They function as a definite platform for localization of traffic problems and are implemented at both the provider and the receiver of traffic information.

Our company has created localization tables for state subjects and put through their well-timed implementation into DIC as well as navigation devices. We are accredited with LT distribution to all applicants.

Elimination of traffic problems on motorways and highways in the Czech Republic using intelligent traffic systems.

The aim of this project was to verify on the level of modelling whether the implementation of ITS onto streets and motorways can reduce negative effects of cluttered traffic. Our company conducted an analysis of line management implementation within this project.
