StreetNet LITE

A simplified version of StreetNet – the main road network data and supplementary layers.

StreetNet LITE basic information

StreetNet LITE is a light version of StreetNet geodatabase, the most important product of CEDA company.

Alike the more detailed StreetNet, it is made of 16 data layers. The main seamless and fully routable road network is however in the lite version limited to motorways and main roads of class 1 to 3. They are supplemented by topographical layers and layers of administrative boundaries. The attributive richness stays the same. Features of each layer are described by large number of attributes.

StreetNet LITE coverage

StreetNet LITE is a seamless geodatabase covering the whole area of Czechia and Slovakia. The product is divided into two: StreetNetCZE LITE and StreetNetSVK LITE.

Content of StreetNet LITE geodatabase

Geodatabase StreetNet LITE is made of 16 data layers:
The core layer represents seamless and fully routable road network limited to motorways and main roads of class 1 to 3. Every road section is described by large number of attributes (e.g. number, category, type, street names and basic routing attributes) and it already contains significant constructions on highways, motorways and 1st class roads to be opened before the release of a next version of StreetNet LITE.
The road network is extended by basic topographic layers and administration area layers. They are the same as in StreetNet.

StreetNet LITE release terms

StreetNet LITE is continually updated and is released twice a year.  Its coverage reflects the actual state of road network at the moment when the data is released while parts of roads under construction (with given opening date) are taken into consideration. The data for updates comes from fieldwork, publicly accessible sources and from data provided by state institutions, offices and commercial subjects.
